Now that the format war is over, and Blu-Ray has been declared the victor, it's time for the movies to start rolling in, right? Well, one awesome step in that process is the announcement that the vaunted Criterion Collection of movies will begin their release on the HD format beginning in October.
If you don't know, the Criterion Collection is a group of DVDs that are handpicked, restored, given bonus treatment, and released. These DVDs are superior in almost every way to their counterparts, and Criterion is particularly good about developing a leet aura around them.
