Rarely have we ever been as excited by an announcement as this: CBS is airing a show called Greatest American Dog, which will put 12 dogs in competition with each other to determine which dog is best. This is a wonderment, well and truly, and will be hosted by Jarod Miller, of Animal Planet's PetFinder.
You might think this is a big joke, but I have a friend who is the post production coordinator on Greatest American Dog, and his life has been shrouded in secrecy over the past couple of months, as the events and results of this show are to be kept iron-clad, vaulted, secret. So, to you, it might be funny, but to CBS, Greatest American Dog is serious as a heart attack. The show will premiere July 10th.
