Posted by Stephen Johnson - Wednesday, April 23, 2008 7:33 AM

Old-school gorefest beat-em-up Splatterhouse is coming back. According to 1up.com, the revival of the bloodies-ever horror title will be details in the next issue of EGM magazine.

According to 1up.com's game pageSplatterhouse will be out on the 360 and PlayStation 3.

We have fond memories of this grosser-than-gross bloodbath, and can't wait to play it again, in some new form.

Fun Fact: Splatterhouse was the first videogame ever to come with a parental advisory warning.

oh no. another game that's going to sell because of controversy. I hope its good.

also, that guy with the chainsaw arm has more muscles than he knows what to do with.

I know a little about anatomy, and I can't imagine what some of those muscles even DO.

i had splatter house on the turbo grafix 16 even though i may be the only person to ever buy that console it was good for the time i hope they dont re-release every old game ever made i enjoyed these games as a kid please dont ruin the memories by putting out half assed games with old titles on them

Back in the day, this was the game to own simply because it was the only game at the time that had gore in it and based on this virtue alone, It recieved alot of controversy.

I also owned splatterhouse. it was an alright game. the turbo grafx on the other hand was so much better than given credit for. especially the turbo duo. if you know anything about video games you can look back and see so many innovations which turbo created and are now a standard in the gaming industry.

I'm glad someone else thinks it's weird. I mean, why does he have a six pack on his ribs? and 20 biceps and triceps?

Posted by youenjoymyself - Wednesday, April 23, 2008 9:27 AM
this guy is obsessively not human, who are we to criticize the anatomy of a species that we are not aware of???

Yeeeaaaah! I love it when old school franchises get some attention in this era. Hopefully that happens to Kid Icarus as well. Please Nintendo! It's my favorite NES game! Please make a new one!

Oh yeah!

I remember being about uh... 6 or 7 at the arcade, having no idea how to get past the 3rd stage. "Grandma, gimme more quarters!", and there was no controversy over whether it was good for kids to play this stuff or not.

Next up: Michael Jackson's Moonwalker!

I had this game before.

Posted by LoCuSt - Wednesday, April 23, 2008 10:46 AM
Dude I'd scoop up a port of moonwalker in a heartbeat no joke. Bust out the moves again after 14+ years, throw bubbles at people, wear my white suit and like it.

Splatterhouse and Earthworm James (since for some reason his real name is a forbidden word) 4 announced the same day; this has to be the best day ever.

And why in the hell did I get a message saying I couldn't post the word "J........i....M"? Now he has to be called Earthworm James

Looking forward to this game and I too would pick up a port of Moonwalker, if they ever made one.

The first person that claims that this game will cause people to become mass murderers ,should be taken care of.Once again blame the videogames not the suddenly abundant torture porn movies availible.
