Ninja Theory, the development studio behind Heavenly Sword, has announced that their next game will be appearing on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
"It's a brutal environment out there for an independent, particularly considering the size of the games that we're developing," said Ninja Theory co-founder Nina Kristensen.
"Yes, our new game is going to be PS3 and Xbox 360," Kristensen said. "We have actually signed it but we're not announcing to who at the moment."
Looks like they've lined up a publisher and will indeed be going multi-platform.

Also, the 360 is set up more like a PC and is more intuitive and easier to develop/port a game for than the PS3.
Heavenly Sword was just an incredibly short game. This was a major flaw. It would not have done any better on the 360.

HS is exclusive, the article is speaking of a whole other IP. Secondly the length of the game got ragged on simply because they bragged about using 15 GB of a Bluray disc, honestly the Story is just as long as Halo3 or Gears of War. Actually it was a good game did you play it?
I'm sure it was the install base of the PS3 at the time it came out that made it not sell as well. They're next one will sell better on PS3. I'm looking forward to hearing what it will be.
and i know this is an entirely different game, it's a smart choice for them to develop for both systems because only a few sony exclusives have or will sell well.

1.) They hire 3 actors for EVERY ROLE in the game. 1 for the model, 1 for the stunts, 1 for voice acting (that right there is insane $$
2.) The game is short yes, but the extras within the game is INSANE, Throw anything you can touch (including bodies swords axes boxes and about 400 other objects.
3.) INSANE Graphics, unbelievible, crazy.
They need multi Platform to make up for the expenses of production. being a new company, they didnt have many followers when HS was first announced, it sold well None-The-Less.
NEWS FLASH, Developers on Halo Three BARLY made enough money to acclaim fo the Advertizing and development..

Now add in all the add-ons you have to buy to even compare it to the PS3
that brings it to about....600-$700
NOW add in $50 a year for online play, after 5 years thats almost $1,000 for Online Play, not to mention the RROD so you will end up buying a new 360 after the 4th RRoD, thats another $700.

Bungie is now not owned by MS anymore but this doesn't mean it's going multiplatform. Also Halo Wars is being made by Ensemble.

98% of people on live use the ethernet cable which comes w/ the console so dont include the $80 adapter
and you could include the $15 play and charge kit but the ps3 doesnt come with a headset does it? (i dont know for sure)
anyways ps3 is same price as an xbox w/ live but your getting a console with few good games, a controller w/ no rumble, and the sony online store which i had for my psp and sucked

No the PS3 doesnt come with a headset but who cares? If you dont have one just buy one. Chances are you'd find a better one somewhere rather than the one jamed in the box with your Box. On another note, the 40G PS3 has backwards compatibility with quite a few of the orgianal PS games. The 80G can play the PS2 games. Again, most people dont care, especailly if they didn't sell their PS2 like me.

I havent played HS but I've thought about it. I would love for the company to continue making PS exclusives, but if they need to do this then whoopie; they need to think about their company and their employees.

I read Bungie's newsletters and their weekly updates, a couple of months ago when it was announced that they are an independent corporation that's not part of Microsoft.. they said that Halo Wars will be an exclusive to the 360 and possibly the PC(not even talked about), and that they will be making Halo-themed games exclusive to the 360 also.. not the S in GAMES?
But don't worry, Bungie will share the wealth when they create other games for the PS3. Have fun!

Any 3rd party game on the 360 besides cod4 will be shunned. 360 owners live and die by 3 games and only 2 are exclusive; Halo, Gears, and COD4. Maybe if u think abiut it a little bit, y pay $60 for a 5hr long game when u can get R&C, Uncharted, Resistence and a crap load of other better games but for same price?

have you played Heavenly Sword cause it is right on time with Gears or Halo 3? the only difference is that it doesnt have a multiplayer becuase its an action adventure. halo3 overlly hype and it was trash. My buddy got it at midnight and beat it by 3:30. it was a quick and easy game. the one game that was suppose to end the PS3 and become the greastest of all time, it failed. The people who bought it dont even play it, and even in the first two the story is lack luster. MS has no real exclusives coming, their up to their neck with hardware issues, and thats only half. I wonder how much more money Billy invest in a department that is swallowing his Windows money.
You are a fanboy of the highest grade, where were you on the 360 fire post, you get on every PS3 post complaing about the PS3 price and yapping about the forgotten 360 exclusives from last year. 07 is over, 08 is here what has MS done lately, nothing. what are they planning to nothing in the immediately future. Sony is starting to bring their A game, period give credit where credit is due. they have a strong first party core delivering games, aand they dont pay for exclusives, along with dependable hardware. amen, tell him. i too paid a full $599 just over a year ago and still worth every penny. all those years thinking about building a media center computer for the TV is no longer needed. i like the ps3 much more than any media center pc. also much smaller and quieter than a pc would be. so glad i picked one up. even if im not gaming theres still alot to do. all my media right there on the xcross media bar, no need to go through menus to get to my sh%t. im not even gonna get into anything else.
but at some point they do need to get more competitive as far as actual unique features go. that's why i was bummed to hear about another delay of 'home beta'.
The only thing i will say that Sony needs to do in the immediate future is fire Jack Trenton SCEA president because he is not vocal in PS3 marketing in the US, and if home was pushed back Im sure it was for a good reason.
As for the multiplatform issue, of course everyone is gonna do it, money drives everything.

The whole point of them being add-ons is that you don't HAVE to buy them.
Yes, Xbox Live costs money, that might be a good thing, that way it is being monitored 24hrs a day (WoW), then you have those that play that Conquer game, which is free (you can tell because they graphics are cheesy), but is it better because it's free? No.
The point is, both are great systems. It's like buying a Ford or Chevy, LCD or Plasma. Buy what you want, but don't bitch about what you didn't get!

MS made the x-box it had some nice features some good games people bought it.... then the 360 comes out, and MS forgets that they even made the x-box... so all the people with x-boxes buy the hype that the 360 is a next gen console.... when really it's a x-box with an upgraded CPU and graphics chip. Now the 360 is here and it has all sorts of issues either malfunctioning or needing to buy an add on to get it to do what you need it to do.... Then they go and screw you all by releasing a 360 without a HDD... now Dev's have to take that into affect when making games.... But hey if they stick to their track record you don't have to worry 360 fans MS will drop the 360 for a new model in 2 years and you can start all over again... but by then the PS3 will be in it's prime... and the 720 will only be able to rely on people like eamadden to keep them from dropping the whole dept.

Sony didnt buy out L.A. Noire. The game is simply too vast and too complicated to run on the 360. The exact same reasons y MGS4 cant run on the 360. Also the devs have too strong of a relationship to leave sony flyn high and dry. Japs seem to be very loyal to their friends.... not just consoles....
