Epic Hints at 'Gears 2' Bonus in 'UTIII' 360

In an interview with OXM UK, Mark Rein dropped a hint about a Gears of War 2 "surprise" included in the Xbox 360 version of Unreal Tournament III.

So the online side [of Gears of War 2] will be sorted out?
I'm not here to talk about Gears Of War 2 but it's a much better game than the original. And you know, there might be a little Gears Of War 2 related surprise on the disc of Unreal Tournament 3. That's all I'm saying about that.

What could it be?! Unreal Tournament III releases this summer for the 360, which is pretty close to the Gears 2 release date... multiplayer beta?

The graphics of the XBOX 360 version is and looks like garbage in comparison to the awesome graphics of the PS3 simply because the XBOX 360 version is a port of the PS3 version and the PS3 version deserves to sell a lot more copies because the PS3 is not going to die and break while you are playing or any multi-platform game on it guaranteed,you feel me? Who cares about hard drive load speed when the #1 concern of all time when it comes to video game consoles is whether or not the XBOX 360 version is going to render the XBOX 360 console unplayable in the future because it's going to die,you feel me? Boycott the XBOX 360 and maybe the PIMP Microsoft will stop selling extremely broken and flawed hardware that is not made,produced,and manufactured right at all because it was rushed out the door for the deadly sin of GREED,you feel me?

Fact: There are two new characters in UT3 for the 360.

Fact: Gears of War 2 will have characters in the game.

Fact: There are TWO factions in the GOW series.

Could it be the two new characters are straight out of Gears of War? My instinct tells me a strong 'probably.'

I dig sony and definetly made it past the 5th grade.

When I played UT3 all I kept thinking about was how much the characters looked alike to those of Gears of War. If they did introduce two new characters from Gears of War to this game it would really be kind of dumb seeing as the group you play in the game were all really tightly knit and good friends and all, not to mention that they would have had to go back and redo most of the cinematics and levels to fit around those two new characters. Idk though, maybe they did.

I actually really didn't like the online component of UT3 though, which sucked seeing as it was originally an online series. The campaign was awesome though.

Don't get too excited guys...I bet it's just Marcus Fenix and/or Locust skins for UT3. Since there aren't mods for this version I bet that's the case.

It would be cool to see some side-story line of how Marcus gets involved in the tournament however. IF they go this route I mean...

Either that or a spiffy trailer. But a Gears 2 Beta would make everyone and their mom get the game.

I just really hope Gears 2 has matchmaking in it.

if there is a multiplayer beta then im buying ut3...this will end up like Halo3 with Crackdown i will buy UT3 to only play the GOW2 beta but then like the game I bought and not play the beta a whole lot until the end

and to the guy tallking about boycotting the 360 are you stupid? do u know anything about the 360? only the first few had problems and I play gears on 360 as well as Unreal 3 on PS3 and the 360 feels a lot more like it was built for shooters "You feel Me" lol
