GI Joe’s Scarlett Pic Revealed

Paramount just released the first photo of Rachel Nichols (Alias, Charlie Wilson’s War) as Scarlett O’Hara from the live-action adaptation of toy/cartoon/comic franchise GI Joe.

Red-headed Scarlett is the first female character in the GI Joe action figure line. Her specialty is counter intelligence, weapon of choice is the crossbow, and rank is Master Sergeant. Sexy, huh?


…and this would all sound really exciting if it weren’t for the fact that Van Hellsing director Stephen Sommers was at the helm….

Just from the look of this gal, I'd say the movie is going to be a huge suck-fest. Another childhood memory dashed to pieces on the rocks of Hollywood's lack of creativity. Thanks you money grubbers.

mmm she's definitly hott.

That said, umm does anyone remember the (EPIC FAIL) Street Fighter Live action film (poor Raul Julia why'd that have to be his last film)? Sure Chun-Li was hott but no amout of T&A makes up for a bad flick (I agree with Frank that "this would all sound really exciting if it weren’t for the fact that Van Hellsing director Stephen Sommers was at the helm."


All the same maybe this will be a lead in for a live action film of the greatest Comic x-over ever: GI Joe Vs. Transformers.:-P Micheal Bey(sp?) I'm looking in your direction (ha ha ha direction)

errr I didn't realize there'd been a Image version of Gi Joe/Transformers. I of course am refering to the Marvel one from 1986 (When most of you weren't even born yet. sigh I'm old)

I'm not going to knock on the hottness that is Rachel Nichols, but this is a bit of a disturbing trend to me, and by "this" i mean the use of skin-tight rubber suits used as "costumes". I'm sorry but G.I. Joe is not Batman or the X-Men! Part of what made G.I. Joe so kewl is the same that made its distant cousin TransFormersso kewl: individuality. Each character having their own unique look and persona. I'm hoping that they add a little something to the look rather than just relying on Scarlet looking like a powerless Jean Grey. In my mind, the only Joe that should be in all black is Snake Eyes...as was intended.

I dont think you can say the movie is gonna suck just because a smoking hot Rachel Nichols looks sexy. If the movie sucks its going to be cause it sucks. Alias was a great show in its time, the last season of the show lost director J.J.Abrams and some can argue that it wasnt at its best, but thats the shows fault it wasnt Rachel Nichols fault just because he was added to the cast, plus Jennifer Garner was pregnaut so she couldnt do a lot of action scenes. Watch G.I. when it comes out if your a fan or a casual movie goer, then form your opinion then, but just remember its only YOUR opinion. We all are entitled to our own opinions. Some people loved and hated Spider-Man 3 and Transformers. Instead of picking out all the things WRONG with the movie, can't you enjoy the things they do RIGHT?
