Nintendo players seem so darn nice, with their mushroom kingdoms and their Princess Peach, but sometimes they're dirty, cheating cheaters. First there was snaking in Mario Kart DS (which maybe wasn't cheating, but sure was annoying.) Now, the leaderboards for Mario Kart Wii are filling full of impossibly good scores arrived at through a glitch in the game.
Here's how the glitch works: Pick any track. Drive one lap. Turn your car around. Wait. Voilà! You're at the top of the international leaderboard.
Nintendo has been erasing these illegitimate scores, and we can only hope a fix is installed with the release of the game in North America on April 27th.
