Europe, there is good news and there is bad news when it comes to you getting Rock Band. The good news? EA has come forth with a release date, which will be May 23rd, and you will get a whole set of songs that we here in the States aren't likely to ever see, by artists such as Blur and Die Toten Hosen. So, you may rejoice.
Now, end your rejoicing, because Rock Band is gonna cost ya. That's right, far from being the cost-effective bundle that it was here on the American release of the game, the Euro version is going to be piecemeal, and it's going to be quite expensive. The cost of the game plus three instruments in the UK will be roughly $350, and in the rest of Europe it's going to be $375.
But that's just part of the cost headache. The price of the game itself will be about $100, and the cost of an extra wireless guitar will be on the order of $125. So, Rock Band will be a game for the rich in Europe, for sure. Of course, they're not in the middle of a crippling recession, so there's a nice trade-off there.
Either way, rock on, Europe!
