New Law in Arizona Troubles Game Industry

House Bill 2660 passed in the Arizona State Senate by a vote of 36-23 recently. It calls for punitive damages against any producer of any written, audio, visual or digital material that has motivated someone to commit a felony or act of terror.

Wow, that's a really broad and vague attack on all media, be it entertainment or otherwise. We can assume it's directed at videogames, the "rock music" of the 2000s. You can bet this bill will be challenged and overturned by any court in Arizona with commonsense enough to read a constitution.

This legislation covers any media and as our friends over at GamePolitics.com rhetorically ask, would that include the Bible?
