We were stoked to find out that there was going to be a new Bill & Ted movie, thinking that Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter would totally rock it as middle-aged Bill and Ted, but we are dismayed to learn that what's actually happening is another remake, this time updating the not-terribly-in-need-of-an-update Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure.
The only changes we know anything about relate to the change of the phone booth to something "more funky," and an updating of the characters who will be part of their school presentation will include Gandhi and Calamity Jane. Won't that be fun? We can only image the 'irreverent' jokes about Gandhi needing to eat that will be in it!
Pffft.

...wait, what? This is a real story? They're actually remaking Bill & Ted? Studio execs thought that this "franchise" needed to be remade?
Oh, my head hurts. This may be as idiotic as Ridley Scott working on Monopoly: The Movie. What's next: Joel Schumacher back at the helm of the Batman franchise? Gus Van Sant doing another shot-for-shot remake of a Hitchcock film?
It's stories like this that has made this once avid film viewer avoid the theatres all together...
The first one is a classic...sort of.
The two "other" excellent ones have to pass history..again. Rufus comes down in a giant cell phone where they travel the circuits of time (via broadband, of course) get the historical figures back in time for their history report. Expect alot of product placement from phone and/or food companies as well.
Wow, anymore and you'll be drifting in space
If they had any good sense, Reeves and Winter would stay away from this project maybe make a cameo.. but who knows right, money talks.
...it is kind of unnecessary. I mean, like, why?
