Taito is bringing back two great games from the grave and retooling them for release on handhelds. Space Invaders Extreme and Arkanoid DS are coming back with enhanced graphics, updated music, and slight tinkerings in gameplay. At their core, the games are going to work the same but have enough updates to feel new.
Space Invaders will be out on DS and PSP, while Arkanoid will be solely on the DS. Both games are going to MSRP at $19.99 and are set to hit shelves on June 17, 2008. Space Invaders Extreme is rated E for Everyone and Arkanoid DS is rated MMM for Triple Mature (apparently there is a hot coffee mod.)
