According to leaked images from the May issue of the Official PLAYSTATION Magazine, the Home Beta should be available to the public "very soon." The quote came from the Senior Director of the PSN, Susan Panico. Personally, I remain skeptical, but am definitely eager to see what it has to offer. (via N4G)

The Home is just a cheap knock off of the Wii's Mii channel. There is no way this can compete with the Mii's long live the Mii's f.ck Sony and whoever owns a PS3 (including me)

it's basically an interface where you can meet people, form parties, play minigames, join up for actual games, make customized virtual spaces, get additional game content, etc. there are also rumors that home will be the app that launches PSN movie downloads(who cares?) and access to things like music servers. basically, it's gonna be awesome.
I assume the few that use it will have an extra excuse as to why PS3 is better than 360, but we're already far beyond that craploaf without goofy extras like this. Buy a Wii, buy a PS3. If you own a PC too there will not be a single thing you'll miss.
The purpose of Home is to network with other people and talk about games, not to mention play them as well. say you want to know about a game, you go to a publisher's Home space, for example, you go into Konami's Home space and see what they have. Heck you can also organize a gameplan for that online game you always get pwned in, Warhawk utilizes this feature, read about it. not to mention of course, for those PS3 owners who want to be acheivement whores, there you go, thats included in Home as well. How do I know this, cause Im a well informed Beta tester as well.
