The achievements for Grand Theft Auto 4 may have leaked over the weekend. We stress the word "may," these are unverified reports that could turn out to be fakes. Internet, you've tricked us before! But it's under the cut.

Off the Boat 5G
Complete the first mission.

One Hundred and Eighty 10G
In a darts game score 180 with 3 darts.

Pool Shark 10G
Beat a friend at pool.

King of QUB3D 15G
Beat the High Score in QUB3D

Sounds like a good mix. Mostly SP and that's good, and all the MP ones are doable without everyone setting up games just to get them. I like how many are ranked matches.

Then again I'm getting it for the PS3 because my 360 just isn't reliable enough. But it is interesting to see this list...if it's real.

oh u just mad cause ur xbox let u down in killing the ps3, it must really hurt not to see MGS 4 and HAZE on ur jack in the box. it's okay to be a microsoft lover because a company would "look" after its system if it malfunctions and would charge you for " excellent" servers. see i can be nice too.

The achievements are a mixed bag of simple and difficult. Winning a race without damage in a GTA game? Beating the main story in under 30 hours? Yikes...

Highest personal rank in Mulitplayer...Is that like #1 in the world? If it is than only one guy without a life can get that one....

I'll shoot for every one, (Except that #1 in the world bull$!@#) but it looks like it'll take longer than all of May as I expected....

Like in PS3 games such as Resistance, Ratchet, or Uncharted?
Where completing goals like these give you points to unlock extra content, which ACTUALLY MAKES IT WORTH IT!!!

I don't think that the "Wanted" achievement means #1 on the leaderboards in the world - i think it means reach the highest skill level like 50 in halo. Then again, i could be wrong but #1 in the world is a bit ridiculous

Who cares?? I mean sure, achievements are fun, though no one should be playing GTA4 for just the purpose of racking up achievements points and such. I'd be more excited more about a demo more then the list of achievements. Oh well, to each his/her own.

I got paranoid for a second there I guess....

What I'll do is play the normal game normally getting as much as I can, then start a new game to get the 30 hour achievement.

Then it's on to multiplayer and the rest will be history....

I'll get every penny's worth of my $100.00* limited edition!

I leave a simple little comment and mention I was getting it on PS3 for a very valid personal reason (note: I did not attack 360s in general, just my own that I paid for, as is my right as a consumer) and I come back hours later to see I was attacked for being a Sony sheep. Wow.

Let me make it clear, GTA owes it's popularity to the PS3. The PS3 is proven to run more reliably than the 360. The 2 versions are identical except for DLC that I don't really care about and achievements that mean nothing. And most importantly I make my own money and can spend it the way I want. Blindly attacking me for a choice that has no bearing on your gaming pleasure is stupid at best. You're the kind of idiot who thinks the console war was ever real or that it is still going on. How you liking those HD-DVDs you bought GreenQuadrant?

Dont even worry about it jargy1 its probably little ass kids that think they know everything. I experience the same thing when I try to mention why I prefer one system over another for a specific game. Niether the PS3 or the 360 is better until you look at what you individually prefer.

This is probably one of the dumbest comments I have ever read. R* don't owe sh.t to Sony because if I remember correctly, GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas have helped Sony sell many PS2s. Sony paid R* to keep GTA franchise to be PS2 exclusive for a few years, keeping GTA 3 and Vice City from being released on the original XB until it's expired. So, it's actually Sony that owes R* it's popularity.

If you do have a 360, you would get the 360 version in a heartbeat because of the DLC which I don't think you have one. In case you have not noticed, the 360s are becoming more reliable nowadays and FYI, I never bought any HD-DVDs because I only cared about games.

I played GTA3, VC and SA on my PS2. I later picked up SA for my Xbox and much later VC again for it. I played LCS and VCS on my PSP. I've even pulled SA out and played it on my PS3 and 360 a little bit.

My 360 broke the day before Gears came out. It broke again the day that Lost Odyssey came out. I'm on my 3rd box now. I love the 360 and I love lots of games for it (I prefer Oblivion on the 360 over PS3, Dead Rising is amazing, Mass Effect and Lost Odyssey are some of my favorite titles this gen). Having said that, I love my PS3 also. Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, UT3...all amazing titles. When I have a choice between the consoles, I actually tend to buy on the 360. CoD4, RB6V 1 and 2, Assassin's Creed (which sucks but I still got it on the 360).

GTA feels right on the PS controller. With big open world type games, EVERY title on the 360 I've played suffers from slowdown and glitchy moments. Is it the developers? Is it the hardware? I don't know. But one thing I do know is I will get GTA4 on my PS3 and I'll love it. I don't need the frustration or achievement points. I've never had to compare my wang to someone else and I refuse to compete over a useless score.

This discussion is over. Keep ranting if you want Green, but I know what I prefer and you won't change my mind. And by the way, real mature. I didn't call your argument dumb. I don't have to resort to infantile statements to make my points.

Bioshock: greatest fps on the 360

Halo3: sucked, should have been called Halo 2.5(i mean it wasnt even in true hd, hell COD4 was able to pull off hd, on all platforms)

Mass Effect: was born premature!!! could of been great, but wasnt(texture popins, chuggy frame rates, side missions that just looked like dirt and loads of glitches)

Alan Wake,Gears2, Bioshock2, Mass Effect2 and 3, Fable2, and Too Human: have you played these games before the rest of the world? Dont say that a game is going to be better than another game before either one is released, just makes you look like a blooming idiot

I do not understand why everyone here has to cry over which system is better. What I personally think is, everyone has there own preferences. I own a ps3, and i bought it because of its blue ray capability and its power for gaming. Others purchased the 360 because of gaming only and I think that is fine. I am mainly noticing problems with 360 fan boys who are very insecure about their system and rant on and on about little tiny details which is almost not noticeable. If you would like a Blue-ray player and a gaming console go for the ps3. If you only want a gaming system then 360 is the best choice you can make. No matter how much you argue, you have to realize that there is always another side. So accept it and enjoy what ever system you have.
