Billy Mitchell and Steve Wiebe's epic battle to determine Donkey Kong supremacy, The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters, is going to be broadcast on television exclusively here on G4, where it belongs. Beginning June 1st, King of Kong will air on our network, and we will be the first to offer the film via VOD, as well.
“The King of Kong delivers an amazing look at the human aspect of the video game phenomenon,” said John Rieber, Senior Vice President, Programming and Production, G4. “This is the ultimate underdog tale for the G4 audience, gamers and non-gamers alike.”
We are stoked to be able to offer such a great movie on our network, and, if you haven't seen it, it's the ultimate gaming tale. Be here June 1st, and see some old school hardcore gaming action.

By the way, what kind of a grown man wants to be called Billy?
Steve won the title at the end of the movie. To no ones surprise Mitchell has regained his top score since then.
Its amazing that all the sweaty, oily geeks in this movie still think of him as a God even though he obviously edited the tape he submitted!?! ...turds
I downloaded King of Kong on Xbox Live, and my wife watched it with me. I think this is a great date movie, because there were several times in the movie I turned to her and said, "Hey, I may like video games, but at least I'm not like THAT guy."
Favorite Billy M. quote from the movie (my apologies that the quote isn't word-for-word): "Everything I say is controversial. I'm kind of like the abortion issue in that regards.
One other quick note: It would be neat to see G4 do an AOTS special on the movie that can go into the background of the film and some of the controversies about the film (the big one being the order of when the records were broken). Normally I don't like the post-show programs (the Heroes recap), but digging deeper into the subject matter of the film would be very interesting.
I can't believe they took apart his arcade and wouldn't accept the score because of some goo on the circuit board, but they accepted Billy Mitchell's submission even though it totally looked tampered with. They're both probably legit, it just sucks that Steve's wasn't accepted from the beginning.
STEVE WIEBE FTW!!!
Drop him a myspace telling him how much ^^

Now G4 needs to get the license for Chasing Ghosts: Beyond the Arcade. It was shown at Sundance 2007 and various other film festivals, but never had a general theater release nor was it ever released to DVD, so not many people have seen it.
