Okay, what’s funnier, that some kid who stole someone’s Xbox tried to get the owner to buy it back via making demands through Xbox Live OR that the victim found a photo of the thief trying to pawn the stolen property and posted it on the net, where Digg users torture-AIMd him into oblivion?

It appears that a less than honest kid stole a TV, Mac Powerbook and an Xbox from some poor, hapless guy. But it turns out the guy wasn’t so poor and hapless and checked the local pawn shop, where he scored images of the thief trying to get rid of the hot goods from the in-store cameras. He posts them on his website and on Digg.

The kid then proceeds to send voice messages through Xbox Live to the author, demanding that he pay to get his Xbox back, revealing his account name, and his account info in the process (during registration, your Xbox 360 account is linked with your MSN email, which is full of personal and identifiable information).

The victim calls the cops and while waiting around gets two more messages from the thief…who is playing Call of Duty 4 all thw while, fyi.

Finally the kid sees his face on the internet, panics and returns the laptop.

Now that is sweet justice!
