'GoldenEye' Will Be Tricky For XBLA

Microsoft has stated a desire to get the classic GoldenEye on XBLA, but it doesn't appear that it will happen anytime soon. Not if Nintendo has anything to say about it, and they do. Seems the game is jointly owned by Microsoft and Nintendo, and, obviously, Nintendo has no desire to just hand it over to XBox 360 users, even if they're not doing anything with it.

Now, this is sad for those of us who remember GoldenEye as being one of the great shooters of all time, and perhaps the first truly awesome multiplayer user experience, but, think of it this way. At least now your memories will remain intact, and not sullied by the reality that the game isn't all that great in 2008. Or maybe it is. Looks like we'll never know.
