Xbox World 360 magazine is doing a huge spread on GTA IV in the upcoming issue and word from the accompanying podcast is that their diggin' the multi-player modes. It's huge, the framerate is really good, and they compare the lighting and general look of the game to Gears.
Difficulty in the driving has been ratcheted up and in the podcast they note that the combat is really improved, saying the game series has normally been a jack of all trades, and master of none, but GTA IV is a master of them all. Plus it's just awesome that you can pull out your cell phone at any time and hop into a multi-player game.
So, things are still looking good for GTA IV. Hopefully all this hype will turn out to be true without building us up too high.
