Yair Landau has been the head of Sony Pictures' digital division for the past decade, and has worked for the company for the better part of the last 20 years, but he is moving to their gaming department, working under Kaz Hirai. Though it's not known what he will do there, they say he will be working on "a new games and animation venture to develop and produce content for use across all media."
That's a pretty significant jump, and it means that the studio will be pouring more resources into their gaming division over the course of the next few years. It also shows you that what people in the entertainment industry really want to be doing these days is working on videogames. Can you blame them?
