DragonForce »
An Arlington, Massachusetts-based instrumental video game metal band recently got a personal invitation by esteemed power metal band Dragonforce guitarist Herman Li to be his band’s support act for their July 5 at the Roseland Theater in Portland, Oregon.
Yes, folks, Powerglove have arrived!
"Who would ever guess that Dragonforce are into videogames, eh?" Powerglove said in a statement (actually we did, since Dragonforce performed on Attack of the Show awhile back…see above).
Powerglove is named after the NES Power Glove controller accessory, and have released one album, Metal Kombat for the Mortal Man, and one EP, Total Pwnage, both of which can be scored on the iTunes.
Best of all, Powerglove does not record its music in a professional studio, instead opting to record their music in various locations and mix them in a home studio. Why? Because that’s the way videogame characters would do it! They don’t need no stinkin’ pro studio!
Advance tickets will be on general sale as from Saturday, March 16 at all Safeway/TicketsWest locations and Charge By Phone 503-224-TIXX and are priced at only $23.00. All ages are welcome. Doors are at 7.00pm.
