WiiWare is coming to Japan on March 25th, and, ostensibly, here in the not-too-distant future. For the uneducated, WiiWare is an online service for the Wii that, unlike Virtual Console, offers newer games designed specifically for the Wii, mostly of the third party variety.
Initial offerings, at least in Japan, include Okiraku Ping-Pong Wii, a ping-pong game, and My Life As A King: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, from the good folks at Square Enix. We look forward to an American release date, and to finding out what other interesting games appear on the service.
