Mobile Flash Not Good Enough for iPhone

Posted by Brian Leahy - Wednesday, March 05, 2008 11:00 AM

The iPhone does a lot, but it doesn't do Flash. This is a big weakness for the device that promises the entire internet in your pocket because Flash is pretty popular on the web these days.

The reason? According to Steve Jobs, Adobe's Mobile Flash just isn't good enough.

The program performs poorly on the iPhone and Apple would likely rather have no Flash than slow Flash.

The SDK news hits tomorrow, but don't expect Flash support. Sad face.

Does the program run poorly? Or is it really the iPhone who can't run it properly? Food for thought.

lol what a jerk "According to Steve Jobs, Adobe's Mobile Flash just isn't good enough." i agree with WildfireFox. is it that Flash isn't good enough for iPhone? Or is it that the iPhone isn't good enough to run Flash? id like to see proof of it not working well on an iPhone and being proven the fault is of Flash before i believe this. this is like MS saying vista aero wont work on certain systems cus of the chip set, when its acutely that MS just made a bad coded product.
