'Dexter' Videogame Coming

Showtime has announces a multi-platform videogame version of the hit serial-killer oriented TV show Dexter. They'll be teaming with Mark Ecko, fashion designer, seemingly impressed with the runaway success of Mark Ecko's Getting Up.

"Dexter is the extremely rare TV show with enough layers of action and tension to translate perfectly into a compelling videogame," said Marc Fernandez, Vice President of Marc Ecko Entertainment. "Our game designers, writers, and artists are going to give Dexter's morally complex world the kind of interactivity that gamers will love."

No more details are available now, but we'll let you know when we know!

Hmm... I wonder if it will be all Splinter Cell-esc, where you need to hide in the shadows and sneak up on the villains.

I have never seen the show. I doubt the game will be good if Mark Ecko has anything to do with it. I did't like Getting Up.

When I first saw this I was like "There's gonna be a Dexter's Laboratory game!?" But then G4 your ruined my excitement. You killed my night, I hope you're happy.

I don't have high hopes for this. TV show spinoff games usually suck and this is a complex, nuanced show making it harder to get right. If they use all the actors then I might be willing to rent it.

The book "Darkly Dreaming Dexter" is the only book on Dexter I've read and plus I've seen the t.v show which is literally different from the book. I like them both, however I don't see this as a great game.
