Dark Sector is looking swell. Any game with a boomerang like blade that can be set on fire is okay in our book. Some details have been released on the multiplayer aspect of the game and PS3 fans are going to be a bit disappointed.
Here is the section on PS3 vs. X360 (bolding is ours):
"Both systems will allow players to create, join, and search for multiplayer games. However, only the X360 gives players a Quick game option, a Custom game option, and a Ranked game option."
"The Quick game option will pick a game for the player based on their preference of Infection or Epidemic. The Custom game option allows players to set up their own games with the customizable settings of time limit, score limit, number of players, and the availability of bots."
"Ranked games are directly linked to the X360 Leaderboard. A player’s performance in a Ranked game will determine their position on the X360 Leaderboard. The PS3 allows players to search for or create multiplayer games."
This is unfortunate because the game runs great on the PS3, but they devs weren't able to get the multiplayer equal across the platforms.
We don't know if this was due to their own ability, time, or something to do with the PlayStation Network. Call of Duty 4 has no problem with matchmaking on the PS3. Despite the loss of features, it could end up being a great multiplayer game on the PS3 anyway.
