Jane Fonda's Sailor Mouth

My goodness graciousnesses. a 70-year-old Miss Jane Fonda dropped the c-bomb on the Today Show… well, earlier today. She was asked about her involvement in a recent production of Eve Ensler's Vagina Monologues. The producers of the play wanted her to do the monologue called "(c-bomb)" and she turned it down cuz she from da south and ain't heared of it.

But don't worry, later in the show, host Meredith Vieira apologized for Fonda's "c" slip and in the rebroadcast versions of the Central, Mountain, and Pacific time zones, NBC covered for it with a still photo of Fonda's face and blank audio. Nice cover. I'm sure that looked REAL natural.

Southern Belle? No.
Man's Lady? You betcha.
