On the eve of his 3 ½ year prison sentence on weapons charges, Prodigy of legendary New York hip hop group Mobb Deep sits down with G4tv’s Freestyle 101 and opens up about his arrest, how the New York Police Department allegedly tried to blackmail him to set up 50 Cent, and why his new album H.N.I.C. 2 will not be the last you hear of him, despite going to the clink.

This is a candid interview with hip hop giant talking about some very real and scary issues, folks. It’s one you won’t wanna miss (and don’t sleep on the ending, where you’ll see a preview of his upcoming Freestyle 101 session).

Now thats some serious stuff!!!! Setting up 50?!?! Boy, I tell you! At least the cops over there don't think they're tough, but I'm sure they think they're smart. I gotta say if that were true for what he said about the cops, don't worry man you ain't the only one. It's either they're trying to be slick, or they just don't like him. I gotta say thats serious stuff, plus, sometimes the cops could be bogus or sometimes even be slick.......too slick!

damn man!!! cops pullin over P cause of a u-turn, and then illegally searching his whip and blackmailing him about trying to set up fifty??!?!?! that some bull man!!! i love all the g-unit crew and all, and this is some bucked up stuff man!! new york cops are one of the most bucked up cops in the states, and especially towards rappers. im gonna buy Prodigy's album to support him after this crap that happened.

it seems foul, but it is what it is. P is a convicted felon and he knew this risk having a piece in his ride. I think he is one of the best emcees from QB, but sometimes you gotta give the hood up to better yourself. When you make it out the hood, everyone knows who you are and they are all gunning for you when you try to stay on your old blocks. The good guys wanna dirty your name, and the bad guys wanna put you in the dirt. Like it or not, once you make it out the math is totally different.You gotta remove yourself from that equation.

My advice to Prodigy:Retire from the rap game,get yourself some body armor and security guards like 50 cent,don't ever carry guns in your car personally no more,don't commit no more crimes ever again,and get your GED/Ph.D for a real career making real money for yourself for the rest of your life in you make it out of prison son,you feel me?
