'Sega Bass Fishing' Game Trailer

Posted by Ty Colfax - Friday, February 08, 2008 11:11 AM

When we got a first look at this game at E3 2004, the videogame world was shaken to its core.* Well, your old pals at G4 have a friend at Sega who "accidentally" leaked this little nugget to us. The release date is February 26, so clear your calendar. Quit your job. Tell your girlfriend you need to "take a break," because it's finally here.

We give you Sega Bass Fishing for the Nintendo Wii:

When I first saw the Wii remote, playing fishing games was one of the first uses I thought for it. Unfortunately it's been out over a year and nobody seems to be able to make a fishing game that isn't ridiculously cheesy. Twilight Princess is still the best fishing game. Sad. Can Nintendo just make a $20 fishing rod peripheral and throw-in "Link's Fishing Rod Training"? They seem to be the only ones who can make anything anyway.

While I'll admit that most fishing video games are lame, I definitely think that they have potential on the Wii so if this gets good reviews I'll consider picking it up.

Chuckupman why do you have to hate on fishing, have you ever went? When it isn't winter in the NE I'd much rather spend my weekends on a lake than playing Halo... its relaxing and a little more manly than spelling things with lots of z's and using exclamation points.
