Take-Two Interactive, responsible for such games as Bully, Manhunt 2, Table Tennis, and BioShock, has long been rumored to be on the market, and various suitors have been mentioned with none of the rumors bearing fruit. So, with that in mind, the latest rumor has Viacom buying Take-Two.
This rumor might hold a little more water than most, as everyone knows that Viacom has been interested in making an entry into the gaming world for quite some time. Buying a studio with the heft of Take-Two would certainly accomplish the splashy entry they're looking for, but, at the moment, it's only a rumor.
Maybe Viacom's success with Rock Band is enticing them to step further into the gaming space, eh?
