A new video site is stepping up to the plate and we think it could really take off. The new site is Howcast, a familiar looking flash-based video site, which focuses on How-To instructional videos.

The website is the brainchild of three ex-Google employees and they have already secured $8 million in financing from Tudor Investment Corp.

There are loads of community features and the content ranges from purely instructional to comical. Users are encouraged to make their own videos, but the site emphasizes that the quality must be high to run on the service.

Check it out because this is your shot to get in on the ground floor.
