Director Mark Romanek (One Hour Photo) was slated to direct a remake of The Wolfman, but dropped out of the project yesterday, leaving the movie, at least temporarily, without a director. However, some new names are being bandied about in conjunction with the project. What names, you might ask? How about Matt Reeves, director of Cloverfield? And a man named Breck Eisner, who was linked recently to a remake of Creature From the Black Lagoon?

Well, those are interesting theories, but neither of them really appear to hold any water. Why, you might be asking yourself? Well, Reeves is apparently busy with a Cloverfield sequel, and a project with JJ Abrams called The Invisible Woman, Eisner, on the other hand, will be working on Creature for a while. So, who knows? But it's fun to think about things sometimes, isn't it?
