Over the years, Microsoft has been known for dominating the PC software market, gobbling up smaller companies and ruthlessly squashing its competition under the leadership of founder Bill Gates. However, in recent years, Mr. Gates has grown much more benevolent and charitable.
Now Gates and Microsoft are teaming up with Dell Computer and Bono, the lead singer of the most overrated band in history, to bring the world (PRODUCT) RED special edition PCs.
Three of Dell's XPS line of Laptops and Desktops were just rolled out in the States with special RED cases, and they are packaged with a special RED edition of Windows Vista. More importantly, $50-$80 of the purchasing price of each machine will be going to the Global Fund to help eliminate AIDS in Africa.
So if you were thinking about buying a new Dell any time soon, consider checking out (PRODUCT) RED. It's for a good cause.
