Four 'Guitar Hero' Games In '08?

Lock up your mom: According to a rumor destined to be published in the next issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly magazine (according to the Neogaf forum), there may be four Guitar Hero games in the works for 2008.

Guitar Hero 4, Guitar Hero Aerosmith, and 2 others may be on the way.

If this turns out to be true. it leads to speculation that downloadable content might no longer be the Guitar Hero game plan.

We can only hope Guitar Hero: Elvis Costello Edition is in the works.

I knew EA was a bunch of greedy whores. But come on. DLC is all that is necessary for guitar hero. People should boycott all the GH games until EA gurantee's that all the music on future games will also be able to be dloaded online.

The Elvis Costello edition has to come with the glasses to wear, and also a big crazy Brian Johnson beard to wear for the songs off of Mighty Like a Rose.

I dont think there will be four Guitar Hero games, but I do think the will there will be Guitar Hero IV, plus three 20$ Guitar Hero Encore releases, for which all of the content will be availabe for download via XBL or PSN. I think Activision wants to bring larger song packs to consoles that dont have DLC, or to players who dont have access to DLC. I can already picture it: Guitar Hero Encore: As performed by Aerosmith. Four different GH games would be a bad move for EA, but if it is true, I hope this doesnt expand to all of their franchises. Madden 2009 Quarter 1 edition.

my bad. I for some reason I was thinking ea made guitar hero. Either way it seems like a bad move on activisions part. I will agre with Beachdude that maybe they should have like an encore disk for people who are not online. But come on I do not have a xbox live and a hard drive for no reason.

Each song would be its own disc, because it never...ever....stops.....but it does have a special key combo that automatically orders a pizza for you.

btw, outlawtorn, at least Crazy Train has a connection to Sabbath via Ozzy, which is why i didn't mention it. Hells Bells, Stairway? do you only own greatest hits collections or something? you couldn't have thought of some tracks that are a little less overplayed? maybe If You Want Blood (You Got It)? how's about Ramble On?

I wish my grass was emo so it would cut itself. But besides that I just do not like another person sounding like ozzy. Ozzy was cool when he was just ozzy and when he played with black sabbath. But if I want a generic rip off of him I will just go see a local cover band.

I stopped caring about the Guitar Hero franchise the day I played Rock Band. This is completely expected after that Activision CEO douche made the comment about "yearly exploiting" of franchise properties. DLC is going to be scant on GH, why bother when you can just sell 30 song packs for $50 every quarter? I've never been one to play songs endlessly on GH just to "master" them. And Rock Band is just a hell of a lot more fun to play with friends. Plus their DLC so far is pretty great.

A whole game for Aerosmith sounds rediculous!?

Why don't they just make all those 4 games into 1 for the PS3. And then port it in 4 parts for the 360 at $15 each! Seriously!

So sad that when people want to trash talk about something they don't know about, especially when referring to EA as a Guitar Hero game.

(Although hetman already corrected himself) The other lemmings on the band wagon continue to walk off that same cliff.

Oh, and I really would like to see Cowbell Hero instead of more expansion packs, but I guess we'll have to settle for Drum Hero....

Well so far from them a new game disk is cheaper than the cost of DLC. And if it has the same number of songs on each disk why not release more disks? You only will buy what you want right?

This sounds like a good idea "IF" they can learn how to program the games like GH2. Right now GH3 blows chunks. Terrible grooves!

four?... no... NO!!! if you must be greedy whores, please atleast knwock one off, four is just REDICULOUS
in '08 id like a GH4, GH4:extra songs, and possibly a GH without the GH-type rock music..
canon rock, classical gas, wonderboy o_0 not just some guitars a bass and drums
dat would b kool...

but it wont happen and GH will be complete shat in 2 or 3 years...

PS please make a durable damn controller that will withstand expert play... current controllers could get about 50 hours on easy... im not payin for that crap...

and by on tour they for a portable system
and its coming out for the ds in june
its got this little fret button attactment
that goes in the gba cardtridge slot
and you strum on the touch screen
but has to be played like you reading a book
