Gravity Interactive has just announced that they will release a horror-themed MMO titled Requiem: Bloodymare in early 2008. Set in the world of Ethegia, players take on the role of the Temperions, beings created through genetic engineering and arcane rites to engage in bloody combat with the walking nightmares that have been released upon the world from the misuse of science and magic. Sounds spine-tingly-dingly.
Requiem: Bloodymare will use the Havok engine, which means all those chains, spikes and bloody bits will look extra awesome. The time of day will also become a factor in your gameplay, as much more powerful creatures tend to stalk the streets at night. Players will fight off the drooling dreams of a psychopath with genetic engineering, mystic arts, and a beast possession system that allows you to possess and transform into equally ghoulish creates.
Not much else has been released about the game, but we'll be sure to update you if any more coagulated chunks of information drop into our hands. For now, check out the game's website, and try not to piss yourself.
