The Feds And Clear Channel Fight Crime

Posted December 27, 2007 - By Eugene Morton

Not that we’re complaining, but it’s becoming harder and harder to be a criminal these days. There are just so many ways to get busted; DNA, MRI tests and now giant digital billboards. In a stroke of genius, the FBI has teamed up with Clear Channel to fight crime utilizing 150 of the corporation’s digital billboards in 20 major American cities.

The billboards, which will be updated in real-time, will be used to collar crooks, help search for missing kids and likely terrify the crap out of would-be criminals (for a while, anyway). Look for our exposé on the tagging and demolition of digital billboards by angry criminals in ’08.
