'Warhawk' Expansion Live

Posted by Stephen Johnson - Thursday, December 20, 2007 2:03 PM

Yesterday, the expansion to PlayStation 3's flying around and shooting others simulator Warhawk apparently slipped out (a day earlier than was planned) and was, reportedly, free of charge for a brief period due to a credit card glitch.

The new content pack, which is available now for $7.99, features a new map,  new layouts, and a new vehicle.

The new map, "Omega Factory," is both the biggest map and the first night-time map released for the game. The new plane: The KT-424 Combat Dropship, which can transport a squad of troops and a ground vehicle and boasts a strong new mobile turret.

Get it! Fly! Fight!

"The new content pack, which is available now for $7.99, features a new map, new layouts, and a new vehicle."

READ.

Warhawk is played on a much grander scale, bigger than most FPS maps.

And almost everyone agrees Halo's 3 maps for 10 dollars was a rip.

only halo 3 haters beleive that 10 dollars was a rip. And I am a fan of Warhawk and I do not think 8 dollars is a rip off either. I just find it funny that sony slaves act like sony is some type of angel who does not want to take their money. But like all corporations all they care about is money.

Im not saying anything about 360 cause I dont even own one. I will say that I was expecting a 4.99 dollar price... Thats a bit expensive for this new material considering the whole game only costed 40.

As for the 1 map thing, its really a few maps in one since they use 1 huge map and break it down into different places to play for different scenerios so im not conserned that its only 1. Besides it looks really cool.

Why is halo even being mentioned? This post is about a "WARHAWK EXPANSION." Warhawk is a fun game and $7.99 is not a bad price...For the record Halo 3 map packs are 800 microsoft points, equivalent to $10 dollars.

8 bucks is not bad for a huge map and 2 new vehicles.

that would be a good idea for sony to try to do...get prepaid cards like how xbox360 has the ms points, but still if i where to ever get a ps3 in my lifetime warhawk is like the only game i will ever get since its the only good game i have ever heard of for the ps3 from now to the next year

lol u kids make me feel old. You guys can buy prepaid credit cards. You just need to go to a a currency exchange and I am not 100% for sure but I think some post offices. You can get 50 and 100 dollar prepaid credit cards. You just give them the money and they give you a card in which you can buy things online.
