Talk Shows Headed Back To Work

Posted December 17, 2007 - By Mike D'Alonzo

After two months out of work as a result of their writers being out on the picket lines, both Conan O'Brien and Jay Leno are returning to work in January, but without any writers to help make them funny. The reasoning is that their protracted absence is keeping hundreds of non-writers out of work while the strike drags on, so it's a mercy to these people that they return.

As this unfolds, the news that David Letterman might be thinking of returning to work at about the same time is in the air, though there has been no official news from either CBS or Worldwide Pants, his production company, to either confirm or deny.
