'Superbad' DVD Pulled From Wal-Mart

Remember Superbad, and how that McLovin dude got a fake Hawaiian ID? Yeah, well, apparently the Hawaiian gentry aren't too happy about that ID being on the cover of the DVD, so they got it pulled from Wal-Mart in their state. See, they don't want kids to know what a Hawaii driver's license looks like, so they can't replicate one.

This is, perhaps, the dumbest rationale we've ever seen for pulling something from a store. Do they not imagine that their children will, somehow, be able to find out what a Hawaiian driver's license from some other method, like, I don't know, LOOKING AT ONE? And the fact that Wal-Mart caved to this pressure, while completely unsurprising, is reprehensible.

this doesnt sound right a state goverment can not tell someone they cant sell somthing because of a cover. Just because said state is out in the middle of the ocean does not mean it isnt bound to the constatitution like the rest of us. freedom of the press. if wal-mart was forced because of the goverment well there is a lawsuit..... Also has anyone there heard of this site www.Google.com!

you guys are all dumb. hawaii implemented a new style and look for their driver licenses a few years ago because a lot of people were making fakes, but the old style is still valid. thats why Hawaii's government wants to get rid of the old ones and issue the new style of driver licenses.

Superbad was a great movie for pubescent teenagers. When you grow up and move away from your parents house, you'll look back at Superbad and realize you were a dork when you went to see it.
Only uneducated, un-Americans shop at Wal-Mart anyway.

You are an absolute dumb mofo. The whole point of the humor was because of the funny conversations that guys talk about when they are in highschool. Even my 56 yr old Dad was laughing his ass off at this movie, it was hilarious. Its slapstick humor that doesn't take itself serious moron

On a serious note, take your dad to see "Across the Universe". If he/you like the Beatles at all, or if you just appreciate talent, it's a great movie.
