Secret Is Out On Wal-Mart’s PS3 Sale!

On Nov. 24 at 8:00 a.m. Wal-Mart is launching a not-so-secret sale where the 80GB PS3 will price for $499 and come with 10 free Blu-Ray movies.

Yup, just choose any 10 Blu-Ray Disc titles under $30 within the store and they will override the prices to zero.

Oh, and you still get your 5 FREE movies by mail.

Now go spend your money and keep our economy on the upswing, ya little rapscallions (we are on the upswing aren’t we….? Wait....WHAAAAAAT!?!?!?)!

Isn't the 80gig lacking the backwords compatability? I'd rather play my old games on my Launch date 60 gig then spend more money for 80 and free movies

i dont shop at walmart but it is what is one of the few things keeping america in the green right now, their idea revelutionized modern economy. i wont explain it to you in detail but i will say u wouldnt have a computer right now and you would have one sd tv frankmeyer. not because of walmarts low prices bullcrap but something a little more deep.

you keep on listening to liberal news and believing that water is unhealthy, oxegen is actually poisin, and we will all die from global warming. while the select few intelligent americans pursuit modern medicine and intergalactic travel

This is definetely worth getting an 80GB PS3 now. Free game, free movies, and sure there's backwards compatibility lacking but who the cares? As long as still have my PS2 and PS1, I'll still be able to play those games.

If the offer included additional free games instead of movies, there would be no stopping me taking that offer.

First of all you WON't be able TO FIND 10 BR movies at Walmart for under $30 bucks on any random Tuesday so there is NO Fing way your going to be able to find 10 on black Friday.

When they sold the A2 HD-DVD player they offered low price HD-DVD's and they had the SAME 6 titles and THAT was IT.

The PS3 sucks balls anyway,my 60 bg makes a GREAT dust collector. spend your money on a 360 at least it has great games.

SELL THEM ON EBAY and slash the price of the PS3!!!

or...

Don't open them and return them without a receipt the next week. You won't get cash but you'll get store credit. And just go buy those games you want. That's as long as they don't mark them or anything, which I don't think they'd do. I use to work at Walmart and it doesn't sound like something they'd be smart enough to do.

I do love people who claim to have a PS3 then say they never use it. They keep regurgitating the same old lines about "being fooled/lied to" and yet they don't return the system or trade it in. Instead all they do is bitch about it. Only a total idiot would spend hundred of dollars on something and then never touch it.

If people have that much disposable income to give away, I've got some beautiful beachfront property in Arizona for sale....

I will happily buy an 80g PS3 for $399.

i just got a pretty sweet deal at best buy. got a 60gig 1 free controller and 1 free game (lair, but traded it in at ebgames for FiFa08)for 499.99 + tax. i even got my PS2 and traded that in with some games and got COD4 and Rachet and Clank. All in all I'm happy with what i got, and i have all 3 systems but to me the PS3 was the one I've all ways wanted. Heres to all the Great games comin out for EVERYONE to enjoy this holiday season!!! Cheers!!

They won't need the shelf space for the $99 HD DVD players since they'll be yanked off the hands of the stock boy before they make it on a shelf. ;-)


Free movies is a stupid strategy. I'm willing to bet that those free movies are by Sony and they're crap, they're the ones that nobody buys.

Since sony is taking a loss with those, why don't they put in some good games with the system (they can buy the games from 3rd party at a discounted rate). By doing that, developers will feel much better that Sony really means business. By shoving their movies in their console, sony is being nothing but a selfish arsehole. Ship it with games, developers will be happy and so will the consumers.

@mistic5656. I hope everytime you turn on your ps3 you realize their is some 10 year old with out a ps3. He probably worked all summer just to make enough money to purchase a ps3. Then what some douchbag steals it. And you buy it. You are just as bad as the theif if you knew the ps3 was stolen.

Yeah.. then there returned the next day. Talk about stupid strategy, let's offer a subpar hddvd player at a discount price and give all our would be consumers the impression hddvd is crap. The player has horrific loading times and isn't at all a deal, 50$ for that piece of siht player is still a rip off.

The public has spoken and bluray is winning hands down. HDVD can undercut all they want they have an inferior product and a poor marketing strategy. Not incorporating HDDVD into the xbox360 will be there downfall.

Talk about pulling your head out of your semen infested ass. Not a single unit was returned. I've been to Walmart numerous times and couldn't find a single one, all sold out.

Too bad Blockbuster is going out of business, looks like one of Blowray's buddies made the wrong choice again.

I actually feel kind of disappointed in myself for some of the demeaning comments I've posted about you guys, but believe me, it's all in good fun. Hell, we're on a damn internet site arguing about videogames, what more would one expect but for people to pull out all the stops sometimes.
