Amazon Kindle is 3G eBook & News Reader

Amazon is releasing Kindle, a new device that could just be the future of books and news.

We know you're asking yourself, "People still read?" Yes, they do. That thing you're doing right now, that's reading, mister.

The Kindle will operate on an EV-DO "Whispernet" that Amazon will pay for. This means that users will only pay for the device itself, eBooks, magazines, and blog subscriptions.

Kindle will cost $400 and hold around 200 books. This is great for avid readers, but the price unfortunately prohibits it from being a breakaway success at the moment.

We do love the idea of an all-in-one digital device that can be used to read newspapers, books, and blog RSS feeds, but not for that price.

Hopefully, the next version will be more affordable.
