Not to be outdone by Facebook, MySpace, and now Friendster... Google will release an open platform called "OpenSocial" which will allow widgets across multiple social sites.
The tools, which will launch tomorrow, utilize Flash, JavaScript, and HTML instead of a proprietary language like Facebook's platform.
Several social sites have already joined up to support this new API, including LinkedIn, Orkut, Friendster, Salesforce, Ning, Hi5, Plaxo, Viadeo, and Oracle.
The great thing about this platform is that it could unify information across many different services making it much easier for people to stalk you.
