Wanna get your band on the Halo 3 soundtrack album?
Well, Microsoft just announced a Halo 3 soundtrack album is in the hopper, and bonus tracks will come in the form of songs submitted by fans.
Sure, the in-game music of composers Marty O’Donnell and Michael Salvatori will be featured, but Microsoft wants to get fans in on the rockin’ and will be accepting submission at the Halo 3 MySpace page until Oct. 22 (at 12:00 p.m. PDT).
Music will be reviewed by a judging council headed by the album’s producers, composers and axe shredder Steve Vai. The top three entrants will receive prize packages, including the Halo 3 Special Edition Xbox 360 console, a copy of Halo 3, a Halo 3 themed Ibanez Xiphos electric guitar, a Halo 3 themed Zune and more.
The soundtrack CD is scheduled release before Thanksgiving.
