Jesper Kyd Scores 'Assassin's Creed'

You know how your dog waits for you all day while you're at work, and then when you get home, he/she jumps all over you and slobbers on your face? That's how excited and impatient we are about the release of Assassin's Creed.

The news that "award-winning" composer Jesper Kyd will be doing the music makes us more excited, like if you brought home a juicy steak for your dog.

According to Ubisoft, "Players will become truly immersed into the mindset of Altair, the game's main character, and the rich environments of the game through Jesper's thematic score," described as a  "combination of epic orchestral compositions with acoustic, percussion and vocal performances" to deliver a "deeply spiritual aesthetic with Hollywood flair."

That sounds much better than the bleep-bloop score of Space Invaders!

"I was inspired by the deep and engaging world of Assassin's Creed and working with the visionary team at Ubisoft Montreal was a fantastic experience," said Kyd. "It was truly refreshing to be given so much creative freedom for such a high profile blockbuster title and I believe we took it to the max."
