Freestyle 101: Bizarre

Posted by Frank Meyer - Tuesday, October 16, 2007 12:00 PM

As a founding member of Eminem’s group D12, Bizarre is a well respected MC and freestyler. He came up in the Detroit underground scene alongside artists like the aforementioned great white hope, Royce the 5’9, Insane Clown Posse, Kid Rock, Esham and King Gordy (who gets a shout-out here).

With his new album, Blue Cheese ‘n’ Coney Island, out this month and a stint on MTV’s Celebrity Rap Superstar, Bizarre was on the promo tip when he joined us at the Engine Room in Hollywood to shoot Freestyle 101. He even brought along his buddy Gam, who spit some tasty off-the-dome rhymes of his own, as well. They spouted off on everything from drugs, girls, his belly, Youtube and the ol' Xbox.

Trained by D12’s fallen leader Proof, and having seen his fair share of intense freestyles and battles (he was actually there for Eminem’s legendary 8 Mile battles), Bizarre had a lot to say about what it takes to be the best in the game and how MCs can step up their skills. His interview is candid and honest and a far cry from the off-the-wall personality he flexes in his lyrics.

Stay tuned for future Freestyle 101s with Glasses Malone, Myka 9 of Freestyle Fellowship, Japan's Tigarah, B5, Mr. Tan of Militia, Planet Asia, Gift of Gab, Crown City Rockers,  The Pack, and many more every Tuesday at 3 p.m. EST. Please visit our behind-the-scenes photo gallery, cruise over to our MySpace site, check out beatmakers Messiaz, and sound off in the Forums.

D12 sucked ass, and without Proof(R.I.P),
they wont go nowhere.Their weak.

That was a very tame freestyle for him. He didnt rap about eating aborted fetuses or picking up transvestites on his Harley Davidson. It was good ,but not up to the norm for him.

Also , arent these supposed to be on here at 3:00 p.m.? Why so early this late?

Bizarre your rhymes are too whack just like your ass is too fat. Just give up, don't pursue rap. Stankin’ like some stewed crap you’re no-one nigga true ‘dat.

Chimike even with a weak freestyle Biz would still slap you with his wallet kid, recognize.

I think Biz's hype man freestyled better than he did, but he had that one line "I'll take your life, knockin niggas out like Kimbo Slice" and that sealed the deal.

since when have we even had much rap worth a crap from a rapper who is still alive? i am sick of the new rap anyways, lil wayne, lil romeo, lil scrappy, lil kim, lil bow wow ... oh excuse me bow wow. they all get paid millions to rhyme the same word 50,000 times in the same song put together by some lame ass rythm and beat brought back from the 80's that was better off dead. ok i can honestly think of one recently good rapper COMMON ok theres one. i quit rap when outkast died... that was about stankonia time but the first 3 albums were the shit

Shockingly,Bizarre's episode of freestyle 101 is wack because he obviously needed something written by his boy he introduced on here who's performance was superior in comparison even though i really think that what his boy said is also written as well, you feel me? You know you are listening to a wack MC anytime they end their so-called freestyle by saying they'll call your mom a BITCH,you feel me? The truth hurts, not me,you feel me? However,Bizarre was kind of interesting before Proof got killed, you feel me?

2 things
1. Bizarre was wiggidy-whack, but his boy was spittin fire

2. Why doesn't anybody ever rap about the ps3? lol, shoot I know it rhymes with more than xbox does

uh torino...Lil kim is not a new rapper. I don't like her but she isn't new. and Common isn't a recent rapper he's been around since the early 90's kid.

ok you got me on the common cent thing...
i really had no idea he has been around for that long. my point with the "lil" bull shit is that almost every rapper out now is just like the one before them and the one after them. i mean come on, you cant see my point.... from the old outkast, tupac, old twista, original eminem, too short to the crap thats out now.
