Another day, more Star Trek casting news. Though we're no closer to casting Captain James T. Kirk than we were a couple of days ago, J.J. Abrams has cast Sulu and Scotty.
John Cho, Harold of Harold and Kumar fame, will play the part of Sulu, the world's universe's greatest navigator, and Simon Pegg, who played the title role in Shaun of the Dead, will play Montgomery Scott, known to the world as Scotty.
These are excellent casting decisions, in our opinion. So far, the Star Trek reboot is right on schedule to be something really cool. We can only hope the script is as good as Abrams seems to think it is. If that's the case, we've got a new and awesome Trek franchise on our hands.
