It's a good game, but I do think it gets much more hype than it deserves.

I agree with Adam. Unless you have something legitimate to say about Halo, there really is no warrent. I am a firm believer of a great Single player campaign and Halo 3 brought back the fun into that. Sure, its not the BEST game of the year, but it sure was fun.

but I still remain unimpressed by any of the "next gen" games and consoles out right now. The last time i was impressed by a console or rather the last time a console set the bar significantly higher was when the dreamcast first came out, to me. Then ps2 and xbox just followed with better execution.
If Goldeneye for N64 had online play, I would rather play that.Halo 1,2,3 still suckass

Well ofcourse I espect Sessler to love this game. He's the biggest 360 fanboy in G4. Actually the whole G4 team are MS fanboys. I'm just a gamer, but don't like when they bash the PS3. Come on the PS3 doesn't even have a year under it's belt. MS has 2 years already and they still have console problems.
Well to all of you who bought Halo 3..if you like it and have fun w/ it. Good for you and don't let know one else tell you it sucks..
I thought the game was a little short, but it was fun. The multilayer is good too so that makes up for the short campaign. Truth be told though Halo is about the multiplayer so I don't blame Bungie for focusing on it. Wish Halo Ds would come out.

Halo 1,2,3 are a bunch of rubber ass grafx, with only a few things in it to make it acceptable.Be a little lemming and let them lead you off that cliff.Resistance FoM looks better plays better and sounds better, only thing was they did'nt flesh out the multiplayer.
BioShock should be the game of year.

Why do you have a name like that and come into a 360 sight? Why not just stick to what you like and not spoil everyone else's good time with negative comments and threats. Yes resistance ROM Was a good game, and would have been an even better online player, but need you yell/threat someone on a 360 game? I'm sure there are people who hated Resistance ROM as much as you hated Halo, and they even posted on that page, but do you think that you are better then them by posting your hate on this page? It only saddens me to see someone who is in with the "Vice Lords" and so on....but on the internet my friend, you might as well be living in your mothers basement.

I don't necessarily hate Halo 3, but I don't understand what makes it so incredible that people are willing to jump in front of buses to get their hands on a copy.

Sessler seems to have his head screwed on right... but then he tells me that "two Scarab battle" is the most epic thing ever?
Perhaps he should kick it back 2 years and play Shadow of the Colossus again. That game had plenty of issues on it's own but just about any one of those battles was SIGNIFICANTLY more impressive than any battle in Halo 3.
and that tough guy act at the end sounds like Sessler's been playing a little too much Xbox Live...
Also, to people complaining about Halo's shortness: if you played it on easy or normal, then PLEASE, GTFO. The game is meant to be played on AT LEAST heroic. Normal and easy are for the scrubs and likewise the people who will never get to experience the full potential of the game because they suck. Those complaining about Halo being "unbalanced" because of some gripes about meleeing should also STFU. That kind of description is a clear indication that you suck. And when you suck at a game, then you obviously won't enjoy it.
I'm not telling you to like Halo, but at least reserve your judgment until you've played it properly and not while being breast-fed.
Actually, it DOES deserve the praise that's it's getting. While from a campaign standpoint, Halo 3 was great, but not excellent, its multiplayer component has brought together gamers in a way that no console game has before.
Besides, all of the attention that it gets is user-generated. So the only reason Halo gets so much attention is because of its large fanbase. And if a game has THAT large a fanbase, then it's pretty undeniable that they did SOMETHING right.

I could have sworn I replied earlier, but my post is missing. I apologize if I double post. Also, I'll sum up from my missing post.
Halo is boring because it's the same FPS I've been playing since 1993. It's also the same FPS I've been playing online since 1997. Halo is single handedly the reason the console market has been flooded with sh7tty FPSes and is also why everyone was whining last year that the game market was so stagnant. The only thing special about Halo was it a online console FPS that didn't suck b@lls. That's it.
Other FPSes that are better than Halo are included in the following list:
Half-life (any of them), Counter Strike (yes, even crappy old CS 1.3), TFC, TF2, the Battlefield Series, Ghost Recon, the Rainbow Six Series, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, and Bioshock.
SELF PLEASE.also halo 1 2 3 all are great games not boring and adam is right it is an awsome game.whoever thinks it sucks your mom should hav tought u beter

#3 Halo 3 Campaign was fun from beginning to end. Much better than the H2 campaign. I have beaten it on Heroic and plan to go back and beat it on Legendary soon.
#4 Best multiplayer on a console period.
