Freestyle 101: Master P and Romeo

Freestyle 101: Master P & Romeo »

When Freestyle 101 got word that Southern rap pioneer Master P would be stopping by to hit the booth and bust a rhyme, we were beyond excited. We’ve been bumping his No Limit albums for over a decade now and were delighted to see him get some mainstream exposure when he appeared on Dancing With The Stars last year. But when we learned that he’d be bringing his teenage son Romeo (star of the Nick TV show Romeo!) with him for a father/son freestyle, we knew we were gonna witness something special. And special it was…

Promoting their Miller Boyz collaboration album Hip Hop History and P’s self-help book Guaranteed Success, the dynamic duo stepped into the booth to spit over a bouncin’ Messiaz beat, shouting out Xbox, their new Take A Stand Records label, their P. Miller shoe line, and encouraging kids to read a dang book (damn good advice, me thinks). Coming right off the top of the head, these two pros showed that once you step in the booth it don’t matter if you’re season vet or an up and comer as long as you bring it!

Stay tuned for future Freestyle 101s with Bizarre of D-12, Glasses Malone, Myka 9 of Freestyle Fellowship, and many more every Tuesday at 3 p.m. EST. make sure to check us on MySpace, enjoy our behind-the-scenes-photo gallery and our Freestyle Forums.
