Japanese RPG Lost Odyssey will be out in February, and will include a lot of reading to go along with the game. Acclaimed Japanese writer Kiyoshi Shigematsu has written 34 segments for the game, which will appear at random, and require the player to stop what they're doing and read the text. Each piece is scheduled to take between 5 and 20 minutes to read.
That's a minimum of 170 minutes of reading. In a videogame? No offense, but if we wanted to read, we'd do it outside the world of gaming. There are libraries worth of books we could be sinking our teeth into, but we don't want to read...we want to play.
Reading is for pu**ies.
