I wouldn't bet on a 360 version. At all.

Looks so epic. WTF is it though? A Yugioh game?

Posted by shadowsoul1 - Thursday, September 27, 2007 11:01 AM

Think of it as a more interactive version of Magic The Gathering.

It looks awesome though! If you haven't seen anything on this game it comes with a camera and cloth playing mat that you actually put physical cards on that you buy as booster packs at the store.

You play the game against another player and basically just like in Magic the Gathering you build monster decks to try and out duel the other player. The camera that comes with the game will read the cards you put on the playing mat and actually animate them on the game screen for you!

I don't think this will be coming out on the 360 though because it's a Sony owned company who developed the game.

Looks to be worth getting!

FYI to anyone who might think that a game will take longer because every time you play a card there is a battle/cut scene there is a quick play mode that turns those off for a faster game.

They Need Something Just Like This But Have It Triple Triads From FF8

Posted by Spike47 - Thursday, September 27, 2007 11:36 AM

the game looks nice, reminds me more of yugioh, and it will be great using this with ps eye.
From what I've seen, this game atleast would deserve a 6.5.
that's actually i think the lowest it should get.

i had my doubts about this game but the more gamplay footage i see the more interested i become.

Posted by stormseye - Thursday, September 27, 2007 12:39 PM

I wonder if the game will take more advantage of the camera in other "levels". Perhaps do something so that you need to move your hand around the board to do spells.

I just want to laugh at everyone who supports PS3 so heavily right now and bashes the Wii. It's so funny how things go.

enlighten me on something: isn't blu-ray supposed to look good or something like that?

Posted by Ackackadak - Thursday, September 27, 2007 2:02 PM

I'm glad to see the PS3 trying new things, or at least upgrading their PS2 add-ons! I'm a 360 and Wii owner, but I would like a PS3 someday. It's all about THE GAMES and this will help, oh and MGS and FF13 help too.

Even if your an Xbot you have to admit this is really cool and really really epic.

Posted by Spike47 - Thursday, September 27, 2007 4:35 PM

this is the ps3 with the eye graphics, you can't have the amazing graphics that the ps3 ahs with a camera, it's actually good enough that the graphics look this good.

Posted by souelater181 - Thursday, September 27, 2007 9:26 PM

PS3 can have this game.
SUMMON KRAPPY TGC THAT LOOKS LIKE TIC TACK TOE!

It's a great proof-of-concept... but what really integrates the ps eye into the gameplay? Is it just gimmickry?

Also, the thought of buying physical cards makes me cry. It's just another version of microtransactions. D:

Jeeze, as a former Yu-Gi-Oh nerd, I am so interested in this... And I'd also like to see this used for Yu-Gi-Oh, too, but that's a whole different story.

By former, I mean that I quit after I had a bunch of my favorite cards stolen.

Looks very cool but also a bit limited as compared to something like magic. I hope it has things like direct damage spells, counter spells, instants, etc... I'd also like to see other game modes beyond just capturing squares but that's probably in a later version.
