Team Fortress 2 is the true follow-up to Team Fortress, the original modification for Quake! That was the grandfather of all mods. If you've ever played Counter-Strike, you owe it to TF.
Back around 1999, Valve showed off a TF2 that was themed like a military shooter, but promised the same class based warfare. After going under the radar for many years, it finally resurfaced with a completely unique art style and classic gameplay.
The grenades might be gone, but the fun is still there.
