G-Unit soldier Spider Loc is on fire right now. He’s featured on the cover of the current issue of The Source, and he just followed up his hit mixtape Connected with The Prequel, which serves as a warm-up for his highly anticipated debut West Kept Secret, which features appearances from the likes of mentor 50 Cent and vet Ice Cube.
Spider was discovered by Suge Knight was briefly affiliated with Death Row Records until meeting G-Unit rapper Young Buck in Atlanta. One impromptu freestyle later, Buck introduced him to 50 Cent on the set of the "Shorty Wanna Ride" video in Los Angeles, where he spit again and won over the man himself. Months later he was introduced to the world as the latest member of 50’s hip hop collective. Since then, Spider has since banged out a slew of mixtapes and cameos, creating quite a name for himself in the hip hop game along the way.
Freestyle 101 was lucky enough to get hooked up to this rising MC through the great Ras Kass (good lookin’ out, man), who promised us Spider would kick our ass with a mean off-the-dome rhyme. And he was right. Consider our ass kicked!
