We're eagerly awaiting the release of first-person-shooter Haze, but it looks like we'll be playing on the PlayStation 3 by default: Although it was originally planned as a multi-platform game, Ubisoft told GameSpot that First Radical's Haze is now being planned solely for Sony's PlayStation 3 platform.
We talked to Haze's screenwriter, Rob Yescombe and the project lead Derek Littlewood, a few weeks ago while the game was still cross-platform, and got the following info:
TheFeed: If I want the best experience of playing your game, do I play it on the 360 or the PS3?
(Laughter) Hello? The phone is breaking up...That's absolutely not a question we can answer.
I understand, but will there be any differences between the two versions or are they going to be pretty much the same?
DL: We're not actually allowed, er...able to talk about the different versions at the moment --
RY: except the version on the Atari Lynx...
The Atari Lynx is the one to go with?

This fall is going to be the best I have ever seen in quality games...the 360 vs PS3 war is the best thing to happen to gamers ever, so we should be greatfull... "let the war rage on"
So really I think its a better option to stay a Ps3 exclusive. Will it moves consoles. I think not. That I believe will be MGS. But its definately another intersting title for PS3.
but hey maybe it will suck, but i'm guessing this game will be the ps3's halo if it turnsout o be good.

I'm really looking forward to this game and I think it will the biggest sleeper hit this year! This will definitely keep me busy till Killzone 2 realeses.
As far as a "halo killer" goes, I'm still not sure Haze will do the job. I belive halo3 is gonna get KILLZ0WN3D!
Doesn't hurt my feelings because there are so many awesome games coming out on Xbox 360 that I don't have time to play "Haze."

As for the actual topic.
Haze will be Haze, it won't be Halo3 or GoW. You shouldn't always compare every game to Halo, even if it's in the same genre. Halo addicts are odd to me, I mean the game is great and all but to be so into it that thats all you play and it's the only reason you bought the 360. Come on. The 360 is great and has great games and so is the PS3. Try alittle variety. Too much of one thing is still just one thing.

KILLZONE 2 has not gotten any reviews yet, it comes out in 08, and yes the AI has seemed to be not working well, but lets remeber they have what, 5 months to complete the game.Besides, they say thay have a whole lot of detail put into the levels, and that a level took them a lot of gb or something.

sony may or may not have paid for the Haze's new exclusivness(i think i made that word up). it may have been an issue w/ having to cram the game on to a dvd. i don't know, but i would like to find out.

i agree with you, i personally think the playstation controller is the best for me. since the playstation was my first system, its very natural for me. and if sony ever changes it. that would be gay. unless its a better design than the clunky 360 controller.
as for reviews i think warhawk, lbp, haeavenly, mgs, ff's, kh's, and killzones are the console movers as for i im buying a ps3 this week....

Lair, first impressions: i've been playing lair for a few hours now and it's loads of fun. the controls take some getting used to but so far lair makes the best use of the sixaxis compared to any ps3 game(exeapt maybe warhawk but i have not played that yet).
on a scale of 1 to 10 i would give it an 8. it starts kind of slow but once the huge battles start it's great. the mid-air dragon melee battles are done perfect.
Final fantasy, and metalgearsolid, i think if sony cn keep those exclusive, then M$ will to come up with sumthing more then what they have!
Next year is sony's year!
FF, and MGS, the whole series of those conbine top's the halo sales...

I posted this yesterday also. These are the facts. I'll buy a 360 when the RROD beta test is complete and the Michael Vick Falcon comes out.
Sony is mostly relying on brand-recognition (and BluRay tech) to sell their console, but, they need some sorta gimmick (thanks to the Wii) to push their envelope. The 360 has a nice game library, which, btw, keeps improving by each fiscal quarter.
Developers (1st and 3rd party) will need to do a much better job of intergrating the SIXAXIS control scheme into the most quality titles- PERIOD.
I know TOO MANY ex-die-hard PS1 AND PS2 folks that already have, or, are planning to switch to the 360 (with the Wii as a sidekick in some cases).

It just seems to fit very nice with the way the majority of their titles play. Call it "clunky" if u must, but, once u're used to it- it's golden.
So it seems to me that the 360 wouldn't be the best choice. But does anyone have any idea why it wouldn't be for the PC?
